Yesterday was a waste.
I woke up at 7:15am so I could head over to the doctor before class to get my headaches and eyesight checked out, but seeing as how it was only 37 degrees outside, I opted to stay in bed and talk to people back home.
I finally drug myself to class at 10:15 and I made the mistake of grabbing my winter coat. I was sweating by the time I got to lecture, whoops. Guess my friend was right about waiting to wear it until November, no matter how tempting it might be! Lecture was…well…all about macro economics. I need to do the reading to catch up this weekend.
After class, I met with Jonas and we tried to find GWNIF, but he was a no show again. Super. We started working on our project and trying to find an idea and as we must focus on market failures, we decided on the auto industry crisis in the US. Boring, but there’s bound to be a lot of information. I e-mailed our professor and asked if we could write our essay in Swedish and English but he said that we’ve got to choose one or the other boooo. I guess I’ll go with Swedish so as to not inconvenience my partner. We were going to work a lot longer but as we were only searching for articles and not really determining anything at that point, I suggested we try again on Thursday. We didn’t get much done anyway.
I headed for the university hospital after this and after going through a million doors, I found the office and the woman I had been e-mailing with about my condition and seeing a doctor. Unfortunately for me, the woman only took copies of my medical records (she was some how amazed at how many I had…) and when I asked when I’d have my appointment (assuming later that day), she was weirdly nervous. “Uh…yeah…I don’t know…uh…one week…uh…two weeks? I can’t really promise anything.” Well, I’m really glad I came down here on my bike way on the opposite side of town to have no one look at me. I tried to explain my urgency to see a doctor as my headaches are increasing but she couldn’t help. Whatever.
I went home and rested a lot and didn’t do much homework. I also made meatballs and boiled potatoes for dinner, mmm.
