Jag hoppas att mitt svenska kommer inte att bli ett problem…

Nothing terribly exciting happened yesterday. I went to class to get divided up in our small groups for our large economics project and I was feeling incredibly nervous. For some reason, I was even nervous as the TA was calling roll in our 20-person small group for fear that everyone would figure out I wasn’t Swedish so I kept repeating “ja” in my head so when I finally heard him say “Christina Thomas”, I would sound convincingly Swedish. Once he said it with a Swedish accent, I realized how Swedish my name would be if my last name was spelled “Tomas.” I guess this would be easily fixed if I ever moved here haha.

Anyway, I got put into a group with 2 guys - Jonas and…something. Shoot. I know his name started with a K, but he had a Muslim name and it was more difficult to pronounce. I’ll figure it out eventually. We decided our topic would be something involving issues in markets and that we’ll meet after class on Tuesday to have lunch and discuss what we want to do. I least I don’t have to stress over it during the weekend when I need to prepare for the weekend. I apologized in advance to them about my Swedish (see title) and they said it wouldn’t be a problem and they could switch to English if needed. Cool.

After I got home, I just did laundry and relaxed in my room. I tried to buy a lighter at the store for my candles but I couldn’t find one…I need to figure out some place that sells them. IKEA perhaps?
