New Study Strategy

I’ve decided to opt for a more independent study strategy for myself this week and let me tell you - it’s been going well! I don’t attend the lecture (I know, I shouldn’t skip but when the professor speaks in a monotone in Swedish for two hours and repeats the same thing with 34589 examples I don’t need to understand, it gets boring) and instead take my ENGLISH microeconomics book and read on my own. I read out loud to retain more information and I accomplish much more (and understand WAY more) than what I do in class. I’ll revert back to attending class next week, but I wanted to try something different. This independent studying has been keeping me busy and focused, as well as reading “The Girl Who Played with Fire/Flickan som lekte med eld”.

On Wednesday I met Julia and her friend Elli to look for dresses for our gasques. I was planning on wearing my strapless black one but as the tailor royally screwed up on it and made it way too small, I’m out of luck for this dance until I can repair it. I ended up buying a purple zip-up from H&M, but I returned it today as I decided to go with another black dress I already own. As I was out shopping again, I found some thick tights, skirt, and my winter coat in wool that will keep me really cozy, even while biking.

I had choir today as well and I signed up for some choir get-together weekend in October. I’m not sure what it all entails but I want to try and get to know everyone in my choir because they seem like wonderful people <3

Tomorrow is my gasque and I should be out quite late…I still haven’t decided on how to do my hair, but I know I’ll have to ride the bus to protect it from the Swedish wind. It goes on from 3:30pm until…1? I don’t know actually haha. But my choir is performing as well! Then on Saturday I’m going to the pub again with Sarah and some others. Fun weekend ahead for sure.
